Have passed the National Home Inspector Examination

Had their inspection reports successfully verified for compliance with ASHI Standards

Submitted valid proof of performance for at least 75 home inspections
ASHI CERTIFIED INSPECTORS

Highest level of membership

Have passed the National Home Inspector Examination

Completed the ASHI Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics Modules

Had their Inspection Reports Successfully verified for compliance with ASHI Standards

Submitted valid proof of performance for at least 250 home inspections

ASHI Certified inspectors are the only true 3rd party certified Inspectors in the industry that are accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA)

ASHI Certified Inspectors are the only ASHI members allowed to use the Gold ACI Logo
In order to maintain ASHI Membership Status, all members must complete 20 ASHI approved Continuing Education credits per year.
The Iowa ASHI Chapter sponsors monthly educational meetings, peer review home inspections, and an Annual Seminar so that we can provide the most accurate written reports for you and our clients. ASHI members also have an extensive support system available through the National ASHI website, ASHI-endorsed inspection training curriculum provided by Carson Dunlop Associates, and the national INSPECTIONWORLD annual multi-day educational conference.
Note: The Iowa ASHI Chapter Members have also successfully completed a criminal background check to help assure confidence with our clients and business partners.
